This is a picture of the body of the star amulet bag that I eventually made for myself. It started when I told my daughters that they could ask for one beaded item for Christmas (96 or 97). my younger daughter Ellen wanted a star shaped amulet bag. I thought to myself: How interesting , but how do i do this? Here's what i came up with:

Her's is entirely star-shaped. I made two brick stitch stars and joined them with square stitch, 3 beads wide just like for the Heart amulet locket. There was no cicular brick stitch arounnd tht whole edge. Joining the stars on the bottom was murder, but I got though it. (Ellen picked out these colors: not responsible.) When I finished I thought: how cute i have to have one, but I'm not making one of those star-shaped bottoms again. What follow on the subsequent pages is how i made the blue star amulet bag.
