Instructions for Bag

The basic assembly of the bag portion includes two steps:

Making the brick stitch portion

making the side and closing it to form a bag.

To do this you need to be able to do square stitch and brick stitch. Emily at About.com Beadwork has excellant instructions ( the brick stitch instuctions are for a tubular form , but for this you only need to do a flat form.

Flat Brick Stitch Portion

Here is the pattern for the flat brick sitch portion (plotted in Beadscape realistic mode):

Push here for a Symbol version of the same chart and the palette for both of them.

Now you need to to do a repeat of the above pattern as a mirror image across a horizontal line, adding five unique silver lined beads that will form the very bottom of the amulet bag. here is a small picture to explain what i am talking about. The unique five s/l beads are shown in this graph as yellow

 

Whew, now that that is cdone you need to close the bottom/sides,
