This is an amulet bag was done in tubular brick with the strap done in spiral rope. The glorious dichroic orange button was done by Carolyn Driver of Blueheeler Beads (see lampwork links). I bought the orange dichroic beads from Fire Mountain a few years ago.

This mermaid was done by Elaine Popelka (see lampwork links). The fringe is corkscrew fringe (featured in a Jewelry Crafts, December. 1997, p16). The end of each fringe feature a miniature icicles done by Mothwoman( Joan Eckerd) that I bought on ebay. The mermaid is attached to the flap of the amulet bag. I see her as poking her head through a hole in the polar ice to view the Norhtern Lights.
