This is an amulet bag was done in square stitch with 12/0 3-cuts and delicas. The main section of the dragon is 3 dimensional. The pattern for this was created by taking 2 digital photos of a dragon flashlight, and then in Beadscape sizing the windows so that the realitive proportions were the same, 2 patterns (one of the top and one of the side) were created using the photos as a background image. The top and 2 sides were joined and then the throat ( which you can't see) was closed with brick stitch. Both the horns and the wings are surface embellished for a further 3-D effect. some sections have up to 4 layers of beads all square stitched together. The strap is a spiral rope ( a reinforced spiral rope) with two of Lynne Thompson's (see Lampwork Links) Chaos beads looking like fiery spirals. The button was done by Jackie Mixon (see Lampwork Links)
