I can't wait any longer. Bead and Button is featuring my Athena on their Pattern gallery in their August 2001 issue. I just got my advance copy last week. Unfortunately, I didn't finish Athena in time for the Bead and Button Show (well, maybe I could have if that annoying day job didn't suck up all my time), but I am going to wear it at Embellishment. It took me so long to finish her because she is in 3-D. Parts of the beadwork like her ear and the rim on her helmut have 3 layers of beads on them.
Bead and Button I guess expects it's readers to be creative and figure out which beads go where. maybe I'm too left brain but I would need more help than this.You will find a link to the palette that I actually used with 21 different delicas in it.
