Spiral Ropes with Lamp Beads

Cobalt Wave

This necklace was a Christmas present for my niece. It features a lovely lampwork pendant made by Lynn Tompkins. The core is 6/0 s/l cobalt seeds. The shell consists of matte ab sapphire 11/0 seeds, 8/0 Miyuki triangles, and clear and white Miyuki fringe beads. The apex is decorated with corkscrew fringe.

Sunlit Clouds

This piece I made for my cousin for Christmas. The lamp bead was again made by Lynn Tompkins. Here is a closeup of that lamp bead.

Grape Lariat

I made this piece for my friend's Sue's brithday. It is a spiral rope made into a lariat with a lamp bead at both ends. The Czech pressed flowers and leaves hide the square stitch bail attached to the end of each end. The bail is similar construction used in the the square stitch lead used at the end of the spiral rope to attach a clasp (see spiral rope tips). The lamp beads were made by Barbara Edgecomb of Persona Beads.
