Pat's Squares
This is the white rose banner
from the Rider-Waite Tarot trump Death. The Death card
symbolizes a sharp turn in life's direction that is
purposely channeled toward metamorphosis. The black banner
with the white rose suggests that we have come to an abyss
where we can shed our past and renew ourselves.

archangels. He is especially known for his sharp eyesight
and his relentless dispassionate implementation of the
Divine Will. In this square I see Uriel rising from the
ashes of WTC to pursue and punish the evil men that plotted
the murder of thousands of
innocents. This pattern was make from a
photo taken by a friend of a friend. It shows the North
Tower with a gaping hole and the explosion from the impact
of the second plane into the South Tower. It's important to
not lose sight over what happened. It's both important for
remembering the dead and as a basis for future
actions. This a 3-D representation. The
North Tower is raised (except for the impact site) and the
smoke issuing forth from the hole is raised in addition to
that. A tribute to former mayor Rudy
Giuliani. He served a a pillar of strength for the survivors
and the victims families. He himself lost many friends and
colleages in the disaster.

Wall of Prayers
At Bellevue Hospital people put up posters initially of their loved ones hoping to find them there . As it became obvious that the lost were truely lost, the wall of posters became a wall fo prayers. people started bringing candles and flowers and placed them below the pictures as a kind of memorial shine. This is all these poor relatives deprived of a laying out of the deceased had to try and gain closure on the loss of their loved ones.
